Hard to disagree. Moose Ridge does have one very playable, fun, and strategic hole -- 14, a mid-long par 5. A wide-open landing area, with a second shot that has to navigate a long, thin, fairway-splitting bunker leading up to the green. Options include laying up short of the bunker (in the wide part of the fairway) for a longer third, choosing one or the other sides of the split fairway (depending on pin location), or going for the hero shot.
I play once or twice a year -- I enjoy the challenge and the setting, but outside of 14 it is very much a "hit it here or else" type course.
My only thing about 14 is that something feels slightly off about the Great Hazard feature. Like it's either too long, or not quite in the right spot. I've been in a group where several of us missed the fairway, which is on us, sure. But from the rough you either have to lay up, or hit into the valley. If you lay up you still have over 240 in, so you almost need to lay up again. I'd rather be in a position where I can do something safe, or be enticed to do something really stupid. Right now both options from the rough feel neither safe nor fun.
Fair enough. It is a bit of a gap from the top of the hill to the fairway after the valley. But you shouldn't be missing that fairway with your drive! ;)

I do a lot of things I shouldn't be doing a golf course... usually preceded by, "I'm gonna try something".
